Die Informations- und Dokumentationsstelle Ethik in der Medizin (IDEM) ist Kooperationspartnerin des Deutschen Instituts für Medizinische Dokumentation und Information (DIMDI) in Köln, des ZB Med Leibniz Informationszentrums Lebenswissenschaften und deren virtueller Fachbibliothek für Medizin LIVIVO in Köln, Kooperationspartnerin des Deutschen Referenzzentrums für Ethik in den Biowissenschaften (DRZE) in Bonn und Kooperationspartnerin des Internationalen Zentrums für Ethik in den Wissenschaften (IZEW) an der Universität Tübingen.

Die Pilotmaßnahme "EC FP7 Post-Grant Gold Open Access" ermöglicht erstmalig die Erstattung von Veröffentlichungskosten, die nach Abschluss eines Projekts entstanden sind. Auf Antrag, der nicht später als 2 Jahre nach Projektende gestellt werden darf, werden maximal die Kosten für drei Publikationen erstattet. Für peer-reviewed-Artikel pro Artikel bis zu 2000 Euro und pro Buch maximal bis zu 6000 Euro. Die Europäische Kommission hat im Dezember 2013 Richtlinien für wissenschaftliche Publikationen und Wissenschaftsdaten für Ihr EU-Rahmenprogramm HORIZON 2020 herausgegeben. In Horizon 2020 können Projektergebnisse publiziert und  Publikationskosten als Projektkosten abgerechnet werden. (PDF)

Europe PubMed Central (Europe PMC) offers free access to biomedical literature resources including:  PubMed abstracts (about 28 million),  Europe PMC full text articles (about 2.6 million, of which over 570,000 are Open Access), Patent abstracts (over 4 million European, US, and International), National Health, Service (NHS) clinical guidelines, Agricola records (500,000), Supplemented with Chinese Biological Abstracts.
