9.00 - 10.30 am Annette Leibing (Montreal) and Silke Schicktanz (Göttingen): Situated Prevention - The Contexualisation of Cultural and Ethical Aspects of a "New Dementia - bringing cultural and ethical aspects together 10.30 - 10.45 am Coffee break 10.45 - 11.45 am Allessandro Blassime (Zürich) Big Data and Dementia: Charting the Route Ahead for Research, Ethics, and Policy 11.45 - 12.30 am Round discussion: Methodological and conceptual challenges for STS research on prevention of ageing and related issues 12.30 pm End of the event (opportunity for a joint lunch) This interdisciplinary symposium wants to examine the paradigm of prevention - especially, but not exclusively, in the context of late-onset dementia. Scholars from history of medicine, Science and Technology Studies, medical anthropology, sociology and bioethics will come together to discuss methodological and conceptual approaches.
